Abstract
The Kingdom of God is the central theme of Jesus' teaching. Many attempts to understand the nature of God's Kingdom have been made with very varied results. This article will be another attempt to understand what Jesus meant by the Kingdom of God. In particular, this article will analyze the parables in Matthew 13, as Jesus' simple method of expressing the idea of ??God's Kingdom. To achieve this study, the researcher used the literary method or literature review with a descriptive and analytical approach. The results of this study found that God's Kingdom achieved remarkable growth and success, but worked in unspectacular ways. The Kingdom of God has tremendous values, but there is a price to pay. The Kingdom of God brings both joyous reception and fierce opposition. The Kingdom of God is in the present and judgment is in the future. The Kingdom continues with "the old," but redirects its trajectory in new ways. And the Kingdom of God demands fidelity to the scriptures of the New and Old Testaments, and teaching them accurately to others, as Jesus emphasized as the basis for every discipled scribes
