Abstract
The church is the representative of the Kingdom of God on earth. The church, through a sociological approach, is expected to play an active role in society. The mission of the church is to carry out the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus and have an impact on society. The church plays a role for the community in reducing poverty levels through social activities. The purpose of this research is to explain the role of the church in society and to explain the progress of the GBI ROCK Lembah Pujian Denpasar in the mission of the Great Commission of God and to improve the economy of the people in Nusa Penida
